We really enjoyed our time with the trainer and the dolphins. Sadly, we left with no photos as the $460.00 price tag...less than we actually paid for the experience...was outside our budget AND we felt taken advantage of. Unfortunately, our family of eight has the memory of feeling taken advantage of more than the memories of riding with the dolphins. We realize their overhead is high, but the photo cost was way over the top. I recommend checking out photo packages before booking and perhaps you can negotiate a fair price...with other dolphin experiences.

Absolute rip off!!! $15 for a locker when it was absolutely not needed, as there was only our group of people who participated. $7 for a towel. Let alone the pictures for $80+ per person and the photographer didn't even direct you or anything when you're interacting with the dolphins.
Pros: the place looks clean and dolphins look healthy & happy.

Total Ripoff. Spent nearly 300 dollars for my wife and two kids to swim with the dolphins. Once we were done they wanted another 300 dollars for 20 crappy pictures on a USB drive. The staff couldn't even look us in the eye when they told us the cost of the pictures. It should have been a good experience with a wild animal but we left feeling like we got robbed.

We had a lovely time . It's an unique experience . My kids had an awesome experience . Push the feet and ride with the dolphin was great . The instructor was. very nice .

The only drawback is the pricing of the pictures . It's way too much . You cannot capture your pictures because they don't allow to take the cameras . And the price for the photos and videos are unbelievable.
The ticket price per person is as it is too high . Keeping the price of photos so high and not allowing to take your own pics is a spoiler.

We have been to Cozumel for snorkeling and that is so reasonably priced . They give the entire set of pictures in a cd which is very reasonable .

Horrible, it's such a tourist trap. The reel you with the no pictures scheme, so they can charge you $98 for digital images or $198 for video and digital images. But that's not the worst part. You go down to the dolphin pool with 7-8 people and you all take turns riding the dolphin 6 feet / 2 meters which takes 20 seconds and that's it... it's a 30 min excursion but you have to wait for everyone else to take a turn touching them. I also took my GoPro in the water and had it confiscated. No Pictures other than the mega overpriced ones they sell...

We loved all the time we got to spend with the dolphins in the water. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the first time we've ever swan with dolphins and unfortunately due to the high price of pictures we didn't buy any and now have no memories to share. One person in our group did buy 1 picture for $39 that came with a cute frame which is outrageously expensive. It was such a great experience we are just disappointed about not having pictures as a keepsake.

The dolphins were great! Beautiful animals! Having the photographer force you to pay attention to him instead of the dolphins was incredibly annoying. We were there to interact with dolphins and I felt I spent most of my time being told to look up. As many people have said, the photo prices are very expensive so its not worth it to pose for all those photos.

The experience of swimming with the dolphins was great. The huge downside is that the price of the pictures is absolutely outrageous! You have to pay well over $100-300 just to take the memory of the experience with you. They don't allow you to take pictures of the experience with your own camera. So your only way of walking away with pictures is paying a ridiculous amount on top of paying what you already paid for the excursion. With already paying over $200 just to swim with the dolphins, we weren't about to shell out another $100-200, it just wasn't worth it to us. It's awful that this company does not give you at least 1 picture included in the fee. One of the best parts of having an excursion like this is having pictures of it to remember it by. What made this even worse was that the photographer/photo shop staff were not very nice and they even charged other customers a higher amount for the same amount of pictures. The whole interaction and price of the pictures took away from the amazing experience of swimming with the dolphins because we had to walk away without a single photograph of our once in a lifetime experience.

Reading the other reviews, we quickly realized that we aren't the only ones who have felt this way. Maybe it's about time Dolphinus makes some much needed changes to make this more of a positive experience instead of a negative one for their customers.

Really awesome place !

It is a small natural reserve, great introduction to the wild life.

My 5 year old had the opportunity to experience his first dip with the dolphins there and he absolutely loved it !

The staff was extremely nice and caution with both his feelings and capabilities.

He came there with a little bit of reserves...They made sure he had the best experience and we both got out of there with a smile.

I recommend this place to anyone !

Got package with dolphins, manatees, seals. Foot push brilliant and chance to have 1on 1 handling with 3 sea creatures. Good hosting. However, pricing of photos outrageously expensive. Top tip - do not pay full price, haggle, someone on the party managed to knock them down to $80 for all photos for 3 people. Still outrageously expensive but not as horrendously priced as the initial package. Also dolphin enclosure ain't too clean. Most people end up accidentally swallowing that water during fin pull or foot push. And I would imagine that there is a fair bit of dolphin poop floating in the water by the look of it. Not an appealing thought.

Had a wonderful time with the dolphins. Excellent experience. However if you are looking to save precious memories with photos FORGET IT!! $40 a picture and 279.00 for a photo package is OUTRAGEOUS! Would not recommend if you are looking to remember the experience.

We spent almost $400 after discount for 45 minute Primax package. When we showed up, they asked us for another $100 if we want the dolphins to perform additional tricks (within the same 45 minutes). The kids had fun but the price is just too high for what you are getting, considering it is more expensive than taking the family for an entire day to Xcaret or even Disney World.

The shock came when we were finished. Since they would not let us get a camera in, you are completely dependent on their photographs if you want to preserve any memories from the experience. We were taken to the photo shop and where quoted between a little over $200 (for 12 photo package) to $350 (for a full package with video)!!!!! Since we got very upset they eventually offered a package of 6 photos via email for $45.

If you want to keep something from the experience, you are literally a hostage as you have no other way to get your memories documented. Had I known this in advance, I would have never agreed to book with them in the first place. My advice to you - not worth it.

Fantastic, must do couple of hours if you're in the area. Pick up from hotel & drop off were included in the price.
You get 45 mins in the water with the dolphin & a trainer, we had a fantastic chap from Scotland.
You also get a photographer and someone filming your interaction, you are shown these at the end of your encounter with the option to purchase. Photo/video packages are quite expensive and some take a day to be delivered to your hotel, as a result we couldn't purchase the package that we wanted as we were flying home the next day.
Loses a star as it's an expensive excursion which felt over far too soon & we left wishing we'd had longer in the water with the dolphins.

Loved the experience with dolphins and the staff, but when it comes to getting pictures you will be very disappointed. If you are taking children you want pictures to remember it. $39 for one, $240 for some and $380 for all. This totally ruined it for us. Think about it !!!

Lovely experience. Our dolphin was Melissa and was such a sweetheart. You can see the connection that each dolphin have with their trainer, and that they love them.
