A small airport which is not far from the centre of Udon Thani. Udon Thani airport has not much to offer. There are only a few coffee shops, food stalls and some gift shops. The airport is nice and clean and the staffs are friendly. We traveled from Udon Thani to Nong Khai by minibus.
Convenient minibuses depart from the airport for Nong Khai after every arrival, costing about 200 baht and terminating at either the bus station or Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge. We chose for the Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge because we had to go to Vientiane (Laos). From the airport to the border with Laos, everything went smoothly. But of course other travel options are also available. For example train and taxi.Tor Holst

Many fond memories here back in 1974-75 this was my duty station. Known as Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base. The 432th was based there lots of history. We had various Tactical fighter wings station there. I was a young 21 year old A1c . A fabulous duty assignment. Scotty Meades
For being a small town Airport has a lot of good coffee shops and restaurants inside. I think there's as much stuff as an Chiang Mai Airport.Bruce Dirden
A small airport that isn't too far from the center of Udon Thani. Easily accessible by tuk tuk or taxi in a short amount of time. Not much to offer except a few coffee shops, food stalls and some gift shops. The staff are nice and overall the airport is nice and clean.Bongkot Podaeng
Udon Thani International airport is in fact a domestic airport and has no operating immigration or international customs offices. If you fly from overseas and transit in Bangkok to Udon Thani, you will need to be processed through immigration and customs in Bangkok and then head to the domestic departures lounge having passed through a further security check.
Whilst Lao Aviation used to fly internationally between Udon Thani and Luang Prabang, these flights have since been suspended.
The airport is relatively small so from check-in to the departure lounge on the first floor is easy, and the gates generally involve only the shortest of walks.
Udon Thani currently offers flights to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and U-Tapao.
Parking can be tricky as the recent boom in travel and flights to Udon Thani has witnessed a great surge in passengers accessing the airport.
